Blind/window covering for a 3m wide bedroom window

We have an almost 3m wide window in our bedroom. Currently has a snazzy net curtain (inherited from previous owner!) and curtains on a track, but the track is broken and it all looks crap, quite frankly.

I saw those Bloc out blinds which are almost like a perfect fit blind but you fit them into the wall recess around the window so would come down over all the window panels (we'd need 6 of the perfect fit blinds and I don't want that) which I thought would work well but they only go up to 2400mm wide.

Romans can't be made wide enough without great expense (I think). Not keen on vertical blinds at all.

What other options are there? The window is in a dormer so a very tight fit to ceiling/walls, which makes normal curtain poles difficult too! There may be enough room for a roller blind but do they get made that big? I want something that will ideally, keep out most of the light too, so not even sure a roller would be great for that.

I guess we could get better curtains/track, if there are no other options!

Thanks all. A few options to look into.

Could you mount a curtain track into the ceiling?

vertical blinds you can get them different colours?or www.waverley.co.uk/how-wide-can-you-make-roller-blind/ they suggest here how to make it appear wider?

Really not keen on verticals for a bedroom. Too officey I think. Ceiling mounted curtain pole is an option we're looking at.

Still annoyed those bloc out blinds don't go wider though!

The problem with a very wide blind is keeping its shape stable. You don’t want it sagging. My lounge window is 5 x 600mm panes. Two blinds works well.

Bottom up blinds?

I've just saw a video for 'Sand Art Windows'

Window is attached mid point and you flip it so the sand now fills the window and blocks out light. Flip it back and the sand magically disappears!! Amazing!! Great idea .
