No Fensa certificate but building regs signed off

Just thinking ahead to our buyers searches, we had a loft conversion 3 yrs ago. All signed off by the council (planning, building regs etc) but I've searched online for a Fensa certificate and nothing comes up. Why would regs sign us off without one and what do we do? Is it worth paying for indemnity insurance now or wait for the solicitors to pick it up?
Also have a new composite door that never came with any paper work and we never even knew that you had to have anything just to replace a door 😕

In absence of fensa certificate, building regs is the next port of call. They check for legit and safety of windows.

They already came out and signed the loft conversion off so surely that means the windows are ok?

If they were not a fensa registered company then it would have been building regs signing off your windows.

Some doors need fensa certificate some don’t. Worth checking if yours does but I remember ours didn’t

You should be fine. The windows were all part of the works done to the loft so should come under the building regulations you already have.
