If I sell a house without using an agent is there anything I should look out for/do differently?

We have a contract with an agent to sell our house but we have several potential buyers who have contacted us privately before it has gone on the market. We have agreed with the agent we pay no fees if the sale goes through to one of these people.

Is there anything I need to do differently? For example, if I get an offer, do I ask to check the mortgage in principle (or get my solicitor to?)

I have a mortgage in principle arranged through a broker but I haven't yet provided P60s etc to the lender - so presumably it doesn't mean much, due diligence wise?
Should I ask to see something on the mortgage produced by the bank? Should I ask for evidence of deposit?

TBH these are questions you should be asking your solicitor not us, it's the biggest investment you will make buying a house and the chances of it going wrong are quite large if you don't have experience. Get an experienced conveyancing solicitor who works full time and has cover for holiday and book a good hour to go and talk things though with them. Yes it's expensive but if your saving money by not using an EA you have to expect to spend it somewhere to get the assistance you need

Good luck
