A house came up today in my preferred village and I have a viewing booked on Tuesday.Initially I was very excited as there isn’t much (any) new properties listed there, now I’m over-thinking.
We are a 4 Person family , with 2DDs.
What do you think?

I agree that it doesn't have the living space of a 5 bed house so would be worried about selling on without converting at least some of the garage space to living space. If the numbers stack up and you like it, go for it!

I lived in a town house briefly and said I'd never do it again. It drove me mad carrying my food shopping up a flight of stairs plus if I had friends over and the person in the bedroom by the kitchen went to bed early we all had to be quiet. Unless it has aircon the top floor will be unbearable in the weather we've just had as heat rises so the top floor rooms end up like saunas. The other thing I hated was not been able to open my kitchen door into a garden so if we had a BBQ I'd have to carry all the food and plates downstairs.
Looking at your floor plans it looks like there is too many bedrooms and not enough socialising/family space.

Everything themotherchip said, I really like it, lots of potential!

I think the main living space over two floors is fine, as pointed out by others the utility room on the ground floor is a nightmare. If you like it, go for it, it looks like you could make some changes to really improve it.

We are in a three floor house and the living/kitchen and laundry area is in the basement and bedrooms on the top floor, with 'formal' rooms ie drawing room and study in the middle. I HATE it, mostly the washing, but life with a toddler and a baby and a shit load of stairs is very tedious. I can't leave them playing in the family room and nip into the bedroom washing away because I'm 2 floors away from them - they have to come everywhere I go...

Oh yeah as mamapud has just pointed out the temperature in a tall house is crazy. Our basement will be cool in summer (freezing in winter) and our top floor will be unbearable in summer (warmish in winter). Drives me crazy. If you're over four floors just now you'll be used to that!

I can't say I'm keen based purely on the layout. I'm not a fan of townhouses to start with but it all seems quite bitty, and for the size of house the rooms are all quite small.

I quite like it as it hasn't a traditional layout -

The garages alone converted for teens would be an added bonus and you can grow into the rooms

Access tot he garden from you living space is the best part -

I'd move the utility, and create a living area downstairs

Plus all the storage - go for it
