Electrician scratched new chrome sockets WWYD?

As per title we had all our plastic sockets replaced with metal ones as part of our house refurb and I notice quite a few have scratches. We're not talking big scratches but enough that they are noticeable and it's bugging me.

Is it reasonable to ask him to replace the damaged ones or am I being fussy? I could just buy replacements and ask him to replace them when he's next at the house and deduct the cost from the bill.

Thanks.

That would really annoy me. I know I wouldn’t be able to complain though because if they were the sort or respond well, they’d have brought it up and offered to replace them already.

Sockets should be designed to take a fair amount of battering from plugs, what kind of damage is it? Did he purchase them or you? If he has damaged something he should replace them but if they're that easy to damage I would consider changing them for a different style.

Thanks for the reply, the marks look like they were made with a screwdriver, probably slipping whilst putting these on. He did have a junior guy working on some of the sockets so it may have been him that did the damage but I can't prove it. Either way it's annoying.

To add, I provided all the sockets so I know they were all pristine, and they weren't cheap rubbish either.

Would chrome screw cap covers help disguise the damage?

DH (electrician) says he should replace them, apparently it's easy done if your screwdriver slips but you pay for the finish and that's not what he's delivered.

Thanks kakuna, this was what I wanted to hear, thanks so much!

These kinds of sockets are cheap so it won't cost him much. It's better to tell him so he knows his apprentice isn't doing a great job.
