Sunrooms - year round use?

I am at my wits end with my home. It’s lovely but so so small and I’m craving more space. I’ve been looking at these sun rooms, with the potential to use it as a dining room and potentially year round. Has anyone had one? My garden is north/east facing so there’d be minimal direct sunlight. I’d love to free up some space in my lounge/diner

You cannot possibly use that year round! It will be freezing in winter and a furnace in the summer. Not only that, they are fly/wasp traps and are so flimsy it won’t last more than a few years. My DM made this mistake. They are more or less lean to greenhouses.

The only way to get habitable year round space is to build properly with insulation and heating or have a glass extension with underfloor heating, anti glare glass which is double glazed to a high specification and this will cost more than a standard extension! So will the heating costs.

Don’t buy one of these.

I second not getting anything like that - its a monstrosity. By all means build a lovely conservatory or proper garden room but it will cost a lot of money - £20-50k
