Easiest & quickest way to paint rough pebbledash exterior wall - Roller or paint sprayer?

I want to paint the exterior wall of our holiday home which has a rough pebbledash ... ie chips > 1cm square.
I've never used a paint sprayer so don't even know if something suitable exists but the last time I painted it I used a roller and it was very slow!
Any suggestions?

Not a sprayer. Paint will get over your car, windows, doorstep, your neighbour's car, windows and doorstep.

If the pebbledash is bumpy, I'd go for a big brush. Rollers don't sink well into such a rough surface.

We just had this done. He used a roller and a brush. So roller first then stippled brush over the same area.

He totally overcharged us. So, I'm glad you are doing it yourselves!

A masonry paint brush. If the pebbledash is really rough you might need to replace it because the bristles wear down. We did ours ourselves a few years ago, and it is a long, slow task. Don’t skimp on the quality of the paint though; our neighbours were painting their rendering at the same time and used cheapo paint - they’ve had to re-do it. Good luck!

I'd go against the grain here and say get an airless sprayer. My friend has one and did the whole exterior of their house. You could control/direct the sprayer quite accurately with a special head & shield. There was no spray flying around to cause trouble.
