Mortgage and poor credit..is there a way?!

My partner has good credit, I have poor credit. My score is 620.

All thanks to a delinquent account (a mobile phone bill that i blew off in 2015).
I'm planning on paying the balance off this week.

How much will it affect us?

I've seen a house which I love. We would need help to buy for the deposit, and then when DP gets his inheritance later this year, we'll be paying off the deposit ASAP.

What are my chances?

Phone London and Country
They are a brilliant broker and have an adverse credit team
They can do a 'soft' search for you which won't leave a print on your credit file

There is a way. In your situation I would definitely go with a Broker as they would know which lenders are more likely to besuitable.

Get a mortgage broker. Mine and DHs credit scores were pretty bloody bad, managed to get a mortgage by drumming up a higher deposit.

I doubt you will be able to get anything under 10%

I’ve been told by two brokers that communications defaults are usually overlooked as they are put on people’s files so often and easily. I’m still waiting for a mortgage offer from my adverse credit broker after a standard broker couldn’t help (702 score for me, 999 for OH, 3 year old non-comms default and 10% deposit)

London and Country are great
