150mm or 160mm wide cupboard

I wanting to put a fitted (hidden cistern) toilet into our small downstairs toilet. There is a 930 mm space for the toilet and the waste pipe is exactly in the middle of the space. If I don't move the pipe I could have 160mm cupboard, 600mm toilet/cistern, 160mm cupboard. However I'm wondering how useful the really narrow cupboards would actually be. I could fit the bleach bottles, cleaning clothes and toilet brush in them and that's about it. Which would be enough as I hate the bleach bottle sitting beside the toilet. The alternative is moving the toilet to the side and having a 300mm cupboard and 600mm toilet. But then the toilet might seem really squished up against the wall.
Anyone got any 150mm or 160mm cupboards? Are they really useless?

We have a couple of 150mm cupboards in our kitchen - one has a pull out spice rack the other a telescopic towel rail. Yours will not be as deep either side of the cistern. You have to weigh up the cost versus the utility. If you fit the bleach in one side and a couple of loo rolls in the other maybe it's worth the cost. Small cupboards are relatively expensive in comparison to full size ones. I wouldn't go for an asymmetric look as it will look unbalanced.

If you decide having cupboards either side isn't worth it, consider having the boxing in of the cistern across the whole space so you don't have a dust trap either side.

Thanks, I agree about not moving it as it will look lopsided and also will be more expensive. Narrow cupboards I suppose are better than nothing.
