We have a Zanussi Lindo and it’s brilliant. It’s the first we’ve had that properly dries in a reasonable time. It also has a huge capacity.

Ours is an integrated Hoover one - been in a couple of years now - only washer/drier I've ever owned where the drier part is actually up to the job.

BingTheButterflySlayer · 26/06/2018 08:08

Most of the others you do a full wash load and then have to basically do a pair of pants at a time in the drier cycle.

bananasandwicheseveryday · 26/06/2018 08:14

I've had this for just over a year now and I really like it. The was cycles take a bit longer than my previous machine, but I think that's because it's cold fill only, whereas all my previous ones have had hot and cold fill. Decent capacity and the drying cycle is as good, if not better than my previous machines. I think that it's important not to compare a washer dryer with a dedicated tumble dryer as there really is no comparison.

We have a Miele. They are expensive, but it is over twelve years old, and it does the job really well.

Trumpetboysmum · 26/06/2018 12:12

We have a hoover one ( not integrated) it's great

I have a John Lewis own brand washer dryer, it’s much better than my previous neff one, has a quick wash & takes a large load.
The dryer takes a 6kg & has three levels of dryness, it’s also really quiet & has a five year guarantee, I paid about £500.00 nearly two years ago.

icklekid · 26/06/2018 22:01

We have a Zanussi which is brilliant too. Worth the extra compared to old help one!

icklekid · 26/06/2018 22:02

*Old beko

WolfMcWolferson · 26/06/2018 23:23

I had a great AEG one. Very quiet, 8kg wash, 4kg dry.

I have a Hotpoint Ultima S-Line RD1176JD. Which I absolutely love. Only downside is the time it takes to wash and dry a load but it has a large capacity for washing and drying so I do less loads overall. If I had a choice I would rather have separates than a washer dryer but don't have enough space.

Whichever you go for I would recommend running a wash cycle then taking the wet clothes out, giving them a bit of a shake out and then putting them back in for the dry. I find this reduces the creases massively compared to doing a dry straight after a wash as the spin dry at the end of the wash cycle can twist the clothes so they dry creased. I also use those tumble dryer balls and a tumble dryer sheet but not sure how much difference that makes.

dontcallmelen · 27/06/2018 20:25

@Why I do that too, makes a huge difference in creasing I find as well.

sleep5 · 27/06/2018 20:29

avoid the John Lewis one - quickly became very noisy.

borntobequiet · 27/06/2018 20:33

My old (very old) Indesit was really good. So good that I replaced it with the newest version.
It’s DREADFUL. Avoid, avoid, avoid. Unless you want a noisy piece of crap that takes twice as long to dry anything as the previous ancient machine, and which has numerous pointless special programmes (Jeans? Curtains? Why?). TBF I do use the Jeans programme, but for general washes, and only because it’s significantly shorter than the others.

Baubletrouble43 · 29/06/2018 21:20

Right after a delay due to broken down delivery we now own a beko one bought for 369 quid off ao. We couldn't afford to spend more and I am bloody delighted!! It's brilliant x

busybuildingdens · 29/06/2018 21:23

I have a Samsung ecobubble, and I don’t like it. I don’t really know why, it gets the clothes lovely and clean, but I just don’t find it very intuitive, although it has slightly grown on me over time. I loved my old hotpoint.
