Should RightMove say “Under Offer” or “SSTC”?

Our offer was accepted on Tuesday afternoon (sales memo sent out by EA, survey booked etc).

RightMove listing was just updated to say “Under Offer”. To me, this implies that we’re still negotiating price.... Shouldn’t it be “SSTC” instead?

Thanks

Different agents use different terminology. Under Offer and Sold Subject to Contact mean the same thing. Nothing is set in stone till contracts are exchanged as even the price can be renegotiated till then.

I'd demand it was removed from all sites advertising it as a condition of the offer.

Once it's listed as under offer of sstc it shouldmy appear in searches on rightmove unless you tick a box to include those properties. So it's not advertised as available as such.

Under offer and SSTC mean the same thing.

We are currently buying and ours went "under offer" on Rightmove, others say SSTC, seem to be interchangeable and means they are not being marketed so fine with me.

I don't know of any EAs who remove properties completely from RM until after exchange. They don't arrange viewings, etc and market them as sold, etc. Foolish to do so as there's no guarantee the sale will go through.

Same thing. The important thing is that the agent will no longer doing viewings. You can call posing as an anonymous buyer to check.

I saw a for sale board this week with the banner saying ‘Spoken For’ 🤨
