House move

So I am moving in a few weeks and last night I just realised that a lot of our rooms have electrical goods wired in.
In the basement we have a cinema screen and a projector with speakers and then through the house the TVs are on the wall. So when we take them down it will leave holes and mirrors etc.
What do people do when moving?
I've moved a few times and each time the house we've bought has bee a state and we've done it up so I've no idea what's expected. I'm getting an electrician to come round and take down all the electrical gooods and replace the all fitted lights shades with normal fittings etc and also take down elec equipment and make safe but it will mean there are wires in wall.
Is that normal?
I don't want to upset the buyer and it wouldn't bother me but what do others think?

It is courteous to make reasonable attempts to "make good". You definitely need to leave some sort of light fitting (just a basic pendant is fine) and nothing that is dangerous, such as bare wires. If the wires are properly installed in conduits and are in places where the new owner might reasonably want to use then (e.g are they likely to be installing their own cinema screen and projector) then you can probably leave them. I think it is fair to try to fill any large holes if possible.

On our recent move we were greeted with multiple cables hanging out of walls (at least 2 of which were dangerous) where they had just been plastered in to place. Literally, HDMI cables run though a wall and then plastered around (why?? HDMI cables invariably need replacing from time to time ) and even chargers for phones etc plastered through the wall. Please don't do this! Wires that are properly run through walls are easy to remove and do not require the mass replastering job we've had to undertake!

The house that we moved out of we removed all rawl plugs and filled the resulting holes, plus touched up the paint - especially large ones where furniture, TVs and large mirrors had been fixed. We did not get around to removing picture hooks, but again these are quick, easy and minor.

Our contract stipulates 'make good' for all walls
