Digital Showers - tell me your experiences, pros, cons?

I've recently come across digital showers, but don't really know anything about them, but would like to!

Could you let me know if you have one, what you think, whether you ruled one out etc?

TIA.

We have an Aqualisa. It's fantastic and gives a constant water flow and temperature. It has a small pump in the unit to increase water pressure and this main unit is in the loft above the shower. There is then just the shower head from the wall, a control panel inside and another on/off switch outside the cubicle. The controls can go where you like as it's wired with no plumbing.

On a more gloomy note, I have a feeling that the complicated they are, the more there is to go wrong, and the more expensive it will be.

I still use the round-knob Aqualisa's, that they built their reputation on. They last a long time and are pretty easy to fit a new cartridge when necessary.

I have an aqualisa too & agree it's amazing. So much so as I'm moving out of my mums house I'm having one fitted to my house before I move in.
I have dyspraxia & it's so easy not having to fiddle about & the water comes out nice and strong.
I literally push the button, wait for the light to stop flashing & get in. 7 years in on this one & no issues.

We've just moved in to a house with three Aqualisa showers - each slightly different - and they all seem good.

In our last house we had a digital Triton over a bath. The fancy features for different flow rate etc didn't work because we had a combo boiler. However it was perfect because the bathroom was very small. It allowed us to have a through-the-ceiling shower over the bath because everything was in the loft space above. We'd have struggled with pipes for a conventional shower. I think they are particularly useful in this kind of situation where space is awkward and/or lacking.
