Will my water be off during boiler installation?

Boiler being installed tomorrow and company have said that I need to be in all day.

I have a toddler so just wondering if I need to make sure I've got enough fresh water aside to last enough cups of tea and drinks for the day or if the water will be on most of the day anyway

When mine was installed the water was only off for a short time.

there is no good reason for the cold water to be turned off for more than a couple of minutes. The plumbers will probably want it so you can make them tea.

If you already have, and are keeping, a hot water cylinder, it should continue working while the boiler is changed, but you would need to heat it using the electric immersion heater until the new boiler is finished.

If you are having a combi boiler fitted, and previously had a hot water cylinder and a cold tank in the loft, everything except the kitchen cold tap might be out of action. Possibly the cold supplies to some of the taps and WC cisterns will continue to work, depending on system design.
