Viewing a wonderful property tomorrow

I’m driving 1 hour 15 mins tomorrow to view a fab house. I’m in Australia, so it’s evening here and I’m just getting a few nervous butterflies.

I’ve driven up to this area (Central Coast nsw) twice in the last two weeks, on Wednesdays, to look at houses. My husband has gone up twice on the last two Saturdays. Anyway he saw a great place this weekend and I’m heading up tomorrow to look at it. We’re pretty certain we’ll put an offer in on this place.

We’ve been renting for 9 years (since moving to Australia) and I’m feeling so close to owning our first family home but I’m trying not to get too far ahead of myself!

We’ve been informed that they’ve had an offer on the place (on Saturday after the viewing) and they’re happy to let me look at the house.

I guess I’m just nervous nelly tonight!

We’ve got three kids btw that’s why I’ve stayed at home for Saturday viewings. Open home viewings are the norm in this area. With the option of booking further viewings/ inspections.

I made it! I hate that drive! But I made it there and back and I loved the house, we’re going to put in an offer. So soon I can join the thread with others who’ve done the same.

We are also in Aus but in Queensland. I do hope that your offer is accepted and you can lay roots in a place of your own.It is very exciting.
We bought our place 4 years ago and from offering on it to move in day was less than 28 days. It can move forward very quickly here.
Fingers crossed for you .

HI there, Sydneyisder weighing in here...

just be aware that level of services on central coast (health etc) can be pretty thin on the ground and employment (esp youth) can be an issue there - to keep in mind for instance if you have teenagers looking for work or health issues that need attention. I have family there that have struggled with these issues.

It is a fantastic area though and as long as you have the income issue sorted it can be an amazing place to live.

Hi rumergodden, I’ve been doing loads of research and whatnot so I’m feeling confident we’ll like it on the central coast. I’ve heard all the horror stories already! I think for us, we grew up in a rural English village that had ‘rough’ and deprived towns nearby, so when we get told ‘mind out for all the bogans’ we just nod our heads because we’re not worried. There are obviously pockets of deprivation on the central coast but surprisingly nice pockets too.

At the moment we’re in an extremely busy Sydney suburb so I’ll be glad to leave it behind.

The kids are 7 and under.
