What stone do I need for a natural paved area?

I want a seating area in part of my garden.
I want natural stone, irregular shapes, not square stones.

What is it I want to look for? I can find lots of cut stone and the like but nothing natural.

We were about to buy Indian sandstone recently, but stopped because I discovered it's not necessarily ethically produced (think children, low wages, safety plus carbon footprint of logistics involved)
Sorry not to be more positive.
You may be lucky & find some reclaimed Portland or York stone.

York stone. Some quarries supply the old style crazy paving. I think this is what you want - irregular shapes.

That’s it. Like old school crazy paving, but I’ll have it with gaps for planting and jazz.

Reclaimed York stone is the way to go - you might strike lucky on ebay, freecycle or local selling pages if somebody nearby is doing up their garden and wants rid of their old stuff.

Thanks all. I’ve now found a local York stone reclamation yard.
