Carpet help!

I'm (hopefully) buying a new build and we need to carpet the following areas:

Sitting Room (has a woodburner and underfloor heating)
Stairs and Landing (not underfloor heating)
3 large bedrooms (not underfloor heating)

We also have 3 cats plus I have a messy DH who regularly spills red wine

We need to get the exact room measurements but the total space is around 100sqm. I've never had to buy carpets before! All my current homes have come with really good wool/wool mix carpets that I've not had to replace. The wool has worn very well but isn't easy to remove stains from.
All the websites seem to be recommending polypropylene for easy cleaning but I have also read that it is not a good idea in areas where you have a fire/woodburner as it really goes up?
I know we need to avoid loop pile for the cats claws.

I'd like the bedrooms to feel nice, but all of the areas need to be easy to clean as the cats seem to choose carpet to throw up on.

Budget is not enormous - ideally no more than £30sqm with underlay.
I don't know whether to go for the same thing everywhere (previous homes had the same carpet throughout) or different. The sitting room has to be compatible with underfloor heating too.

I am completely overwhelmed!

Hi, I’d always been a fan of wool carpets - despite moths deciding to feast on them in hard-to-reach areas. Then when we built our extension the whole house needed recarpeting and we went for a polypropylene as it sounded so resilient with regards to cleaning and is far softer to the touch than wool. So glad we did as one of our cats developed cystitis and peed relentlessly in a certain area of the dining room - we thoroughly tested out the claim you could bleach the carpet. (You really can!) The fish tank leaked in the same spot a few months later. Again, the carpet came up fine. Any marks are easy to wipe out - including a friend’s red wine. We chose First Impressions by Victoria Carpets. We bought most of it from the local independent but only because they pretty much matched the great price I’d found at flooringmegastore.co.uk (we saved £1,400 on the original quote of £4K). But then when we were ready to do the final room’s carpet we bought direct from flooring megastore. They’re here:

We have the carpet in our lounge too - where we have a wood burner (but no underfloor heating). We’ve had no problems with it being there - though the hearth means the wood burner is a good 1-2ft away from the edge of the carpet.

Can I ask if your carpet has flattened much? Thank you

Buy your underlay yourself online - lots cheaper that way.

Hi, wondered how you got on with the Victoria carpet, has it stood the test of time? It’s currently on my shortlist Thanks
