Fitting utility room unit

My utility room has no Plumming, so just a condenser dryer in there. I want to put a work surface over it and a base cupboard next to it.
I know that shops like B&Q have kitchen planning and fitters, would they help when it’s such a tiny job?
I’m sure there are millions of people that could just do it themselves, but I’ve never done something like this before and want it to be done well.
Do these services cost a lot? Is it worth just me attempting to do it myself? Is it difficult to fit a base unit and work surface (bearing in mind the top will need a bit cutting out of one corner)?

I'd look at getting a handyman to do this for you. Rates around here (NW) are around £25 for first hour and £15 an hour thereafter. They'll have the tools as well as know how to do the job. A good one will tell you what you need to buy so you can plan for their visit. Book them for the day and get other jobs done at the same time too.

Agree with wow a handyman will be able to do it, have all the tools etc.

We have a local magazine that features all local tradespeople and their services which allows people to support local trades rather than going to the bigger companies. I don't know if you have something similar.

Ask about for recommendations.

Parish magazines are a good source, if rather old-fashioned these days.

No B&Q and the like won't touch it. They have a minimum spend.
