Ladies and gentlemen if I may draw your attention please to photo number 5 of the set of 16, you will see the horror that is the 'tartan' room.......

I mean why on EARTH would you do that

Personally I think these people should be held to account 😬

It's not vulgar or trashy though. The yellow floral sofa is the worst thing and some of the rugs don't quite go with the other furnishings, but you could move in there are do nothing. If you've got the dosh.

Hateloggingin · 08/05/2018 23:32

I like it

Whatthefoxgoingon · 09/05/2018 12:38

This looks a lot like my house but minus the tartan and swimming pool!

UnimaginativeUsername · 09/05/2018 12:46

I’m not keen on the tartan, but it’s on the ‘replacing wallpaper’ scale of things I’d want to get rid of.

I’ve looked at lots of houses recently. Wallpaper not exactly to my taste wouldn’t even register at this point.

Furano · 09/05/2018 13:39

I don't think it is that bad!

SenecaFalls · 09/05/2018 13:45

double tartan Grin

It's a bit Balmoralesque but I could live with it.

Popchyk · 09/05/2018 13:48

I like the tartan walls in that room.

Would get rid of the curtains though. I'd go as far as to suggest that all the curtains in that house are criminal.

Lovely house though.

SenecaFalls · 09/05/2018 13:52

Is that a sporran in the middle of the curtain pelmet? Nice touch. Wink

Jappydooda · 09/05/2018 13:54

Oooh, I like it!

FoofFighter · 09/05/2018 17:20

I like it Smile

At least it's not a 7 or 9 on this one ... www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-60220732.html

Slatternsdelight · 09/05/2018 18:12

Woah!!!! I can't work out if the leopard print wallpaper is hideous or wonderfully hip...

OP posts:
snewname · 09/05/2018 18:20

ooh they like a bit of floral paper in that house, don't they? The leopard print is a refreshing change,

Mrsmadevans · 09/05/2018 20:18

I love it , is it your home OP?

Mamaohana · 09/05/2018 21:43

I love the tartan wallpaper (I’d change the curtains to plain though). Imagine it with a massive Christmas tree 😍

Slatternsdelight · 10/05/2018 07:56

@Mrsmadevans alas not

herethereandeverywhere · 10/05/2018 08:02

Is there a sporran hanging from the top middle part of the curtains?!?!?

I'd have liked their style of decor in about 1988...

herethereandeverywhere · 10/05/2018 08:04

foof I'd describe the overall decorative theme of that property as "When Harry Potter met Peter Stringfellow" Grin

Pfftlife · 10/05/2018 08:06

I would feel right at home in the tartan room. I think it looks tastefully done, I was expecting a pub style tartan carpet with mismatched tartan walls and a Scotty dog sitting in the corner.

*wonders if you get piped into the room every time you walk in 🤔

TeamRocket · 10/05/2018 19:06

@FoofFighter number 7 reminds me of Dolores Umbridge's office in Harry Potter! Terrifying

FoofFighter · 10/05/2018 20:51

I really love the place Blush

BellMcEnd · 10/05/2018 20:58

Woah, foof! that house is ace! It looks like the set of Miss Peregrine’s School for Peculiar Children with a splash of Lawrence Llewelyn-Bowen, Barbara Cartland and Wickes

minniemummy0 · 10/05/2018 21:25

I sadly love that house Grin is there a name for this style of decorating I wonder? It reminds me of 1980s Inspector Morse episodes.

TerfsUp · 11/05/2018 11:51

The tartan walls don't bother me at all - I've seen much worse.

TerfsUp · 11/05/2018 11:54

I also like the leopard skin print wallpaper in the second house.

And, man, the price of that house in Elgin made me weep. So much house for so little money!

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 11/05/2018 11:58

I love it !
