Spray or hand painting new kitchen units - anyone done this? costly?

Thinking of buying a kitchen where I don't like their standard range of paint finishes - units come undercoated - so thought I could just then get them painted or sprayed. Builder says it will be about 40 quid per door. Does this sound about right? Should I have it sprayed or painted?

It will be a modern handless slab kitchen in matt black finish - only wanted it painted so that - when we sell (10 years) we could paint it white!

I got a quote for respraying my white cabinets and it was going to cost more than the cabinets were worth (£1250 for 12 doors and 2 drawer fronts).
So £40 per door sounds very reasonable but I'd confirm that with a painter rather than a builder!

Ouch......wonder if my unfinished / unpainted units will be 40 quid per door cheaper?

Any thoughts on painting vs spraying? Builder said nothing much in the price difference. Maybe just the "look"

Spray painted will be a different finish and feel if it comes from the door supplier.
its the same sort of paint used on cars (should be) so more protective etc
Painting a primed slab door by hand will not have a smooth finish unless you sand (between coat paper) repaint and sand again to get the smooth feel.
All depend what you want to touch.
why cant your supplier offer the door in the finish you want?
here is a matt black f&b off black true handleless
