Can I fit vinyl over vinyl?

Just that really.

Having new vinyl put in the kitchen. There is already vinyl down. It's down securely and smoothly and I'd like to save time pulling it all up!

Can the floor people just put the new one straight on top of the old one?

It'd be a bit bouncy I expect!

No. It'll move around unless you glue it to existing vinyl and the glue could show through as stained patches.

I was thinking of the same. I thought it would make the floor feel softer and warmer. Isn't vinyl always glued down anyway?

Yes you can as long as old vinyl in good condition and flat and securely stuck still. But you need to make sure your appliances will still fit under worktops with additional vinyl. If you rip it up make sure you get the fitters round prior to fitting day so they can assess the flooring as it may need to be screeded. This can be done by fitters or you can buy it from diy shops and is similar process to plastering. Takes time to dry though. I did it at my last house.
