A very historic grade 2, 10 bedroom building that I've dreamed about for a few years now.

I could make a few rooms into a b&b, it has a two rooms perfect For wedding receptions/small registry type functions. 2.5 acres of garden perfect for marquee events. There's also a side building of 7 offices... That's a few grand rent a month there. In my head it can all work out.

It's literally in the middle of the city but hidden away.. you can walk around the garden and not be overlooked by anyone.

God I want it. I have some management experience and I'm currently a (graduate) event planner. But not enough for others to invest in me (I'm just a girl with a dream).

I'm tempted to buy a book of Amazon 'how to achieve the unbelievable at the bank' and see what happens...

I'm somewhat hoping you'll all tell me that this is totally possible and maybe someone has their own success stories?

I could potentially raise 150k in the next few months (inherited a house with family members -I think they'd invest).

My brother is an expert project manager for graded buildings with cousins all working in construction.

Seriously thinking about it I think my mum would sell up to move in. That's 200k but that would Take a lot of time to get that to sell.

Right now I have about £1k in my bank.

I'm starting to seriously think about this. Where could I potentially look for a loan (I don't have family/friends with that kind of money).

That's a lot of hoovering to be done

You’d need a really good business plan to persuade a bank to give you a loan.
