Me and the OH can't decide, I really like it, he's worried it's to good to be true.
I'd be happy if they throw in that 50's sideboard it's a beaut

If you could find out where the lovely globe/compass thing on the sideboard is from too, I'd be grateful - that would look lovely in my house! Grin

clothcollector · 27/04/2018 16:53

its great, what a banging price too! check out how the extension was done - single skin or two layer walls etc?

DangerEgg · 27/04/2018 19:29

The price! Is that what houses cost up north? Wow.

It needs some TLC and de-beige-ing and the kitchen isn't very nice, the roof looks like what you'd put on a lean-to!

firsttimebuyerx2 · 27/04/2018 21:48

So they've accepted another offer today apparently, shouldn't have dithered about it 😩

Far too close to my in laws! Sorry you lost it if you were keen though.

ToadOfSadness · 28/04/2018 12:33

Never mind, there will be another one. I was only here to see the sideboard which looks like the one my parents bought brand new in the late 1960's/early 70's. (Not 50's - I grew up with a mix of furniture and 50's was similar to the utility stuff from the 40's, brown furniture).

firsttimebuyerx2 · 28/04/2018 12:37

I'm still considering asking them can I buy the sideboard 😂 even though I now don't have a house to put it in 🙄

Grab the sideboard if you can, it's a right gem!

QueenoftheNights · 28/04/2018 13:05

Blinking heck- the price! You'd pay that for an annual parking bay in London!

What's your dilemma? What's your budget?
Is it the sort of house you were looking for?

It has potential but needs a lot of work: new windows, bathroom and kitchen, garden.

QueenoftheNights · 28/04/2018 13:06

Photo 5 shows a curved wall. No curve on floor plans. what's that all about?

firsttimebuyerx2 · 28/04/2018 13:32

The dilemma was the parking, it has no drive although we can do that but the road itself is very busy at night time, we have two large cars so no matter what we'd only be able to park one on the drive and it's on a bent so not easy to park the other to the front.
The rest of the house would be perfect though alas we've missed out. So much potential though for the right person.

Oh and the curved wall, yes it's there and not on the floor plans, I think it's a random 'feature' stud wall that previous owners put in, no idea why.

Looks lovely but the kitchen will need work, it doesn't have much worktop space.
Great blank canvas.

crimsonlake · 28/04/2018 13:39

Has probate been granted? worth asking the question.

firsttimebuyerx2 · 28/04/2018 21:38

Yeah probable has been granted, from what I understand it was a while ago too
