South East London market

What's the market like in London.

We have a flat that we have just (11 days) put on the market. It seems to be priced well from looking at other properties.

We've had 7 viewings which I think is good?, but no one really interested yet.

Is this normal? We have lived in the north for 8 years so have no idea what the market is doing down there. Things seem to be moving well here

Thanks Thirteen it feels a bit too good to be true so we will wait and see 🤞

That sounds great PleaseSell2018, fingers crossed for you.

We have had a few more viewings, but no one else has fallen in love with it. Not sure if the second viewing has gone ahead for the person who did love.

Struggling with lack of communication from EA and trying not to get too arsey, but it's very hard not being on site

From all the feedback we are getting it seems as though viewers agree with price point, but not enough to buy. It's 2 and a half weeks now and we were told 2 - 4 weeks, so hopefully something will happen soon

Been on market 4 months. Loads of viewings, no serious offers. Priced very low - cheapest per sq foot in the postcode for similar properties. Only offers over £125k below asking.
Why? Don't know. People scared to move - waiting for prices to fall? - but they won't, not by much, no-one can afford to lose that much money so they'll stay put or rent out unless absolutely forced to move.

Horrible time though

so nearly 5 weeks on, loads of viewings. EA has said it is there most popular property, but only 1 second view and he has decided to offer on something else.

Getting very despondent now, but EA are being very optimistic and said the price is right and not to reduce just yet

I would reduce quickly as the market is slowing and it's heading towards the summer holidays.

Thanks mrspatmore

Reduced price Friday. Lady viewed Monday am returned with husband Monday pm - hopefully he likes it as much as her

Never sold a property before and never want to again, it’s so stressful!
