New kitchen and drawers

We’re planning a new kitchen and really want internal drawers rather than shelves in most of the units.

The ones from the kitchen company we’re using are working our as almost £80 per drawer though. Ikea internal drawers are only £24, but are too deep unless the service duct is removed, which sounds like a hassle.

Can anyone recommend internal drawers to fit Howdens units that are good quality but less expensive?

Thanks

Ikea Maximera drawers can be used, but not the full depth size.

The low and medium are available 37 cm deep, the deep drawer is available 45 cm deep. Obviously with 37 cm you will lose a bit of storage depth but might be worth it to save money depending what you will keep in there.

Also consider these pull out baskets that were recommended by another MNer.

if you want pan drawers, you'll need drawer-fronts to match your kitchen, so either Howdens or one of the other companies selling that style.

If you're buying the drawer packs to fit in standard UK cabinets, they're available in 600mm, 800mm, 1000mm widths. A thin cutlery internal pullout drawer can sometimes go inside the top one and is very useful. The 600mm ones area bit restricting as you have less choice in arranging big pans and their handles.

IMO the Blum ones are best but Hafele and Kessonbohmer are probably very close.

I've used cheaper ones and they aren't as good.

You can sometimes find them on fleabay when somebody is clearing stock.

All ordinary UK cabinets come in standard sizes (but Ikea are different).

Some here www.drawerboxes.co.uk

The metabox drawers aren't quite full extension but quite functional if you are on a budget.
