No of viewings too good to be true?

We put a property we previously rented out on the market the day before yesterday.
Agent contacted me and said they have 12-14 viewings for tomorrow!
Does this sound a bit far fetched?
£155K
3 bed terraced
M19 area of Mancs

I was pretty taken aback!

That does sound a lot - be interesting to see how many actually take place. If it's been rented out it probably appeals to buyers and investors.

It will be interesting Wow. Be interesting to hear of anyone who knows anything of the current market there as we live in the South and not been back for a good few years!
Bought for £35k in about 1993!!

The market in that area is pretty buoyant.

Wish I could say the same for where I am (and am trying to sell) - the London market is terrible.

Investors are all over Manchester and the north generally as yields for rental properties are excellent.

MyMorningHasBroken · 20/04/2018 18:45

That's really interesting ilove as we live in SE London in zone 3 ....guess it's not a good time to sell up then here. I wonder what awaits...I think they have priced it reasonably too which helps.

3 bed terrace for £155k in M19? If it's in reasonable condition I'm not surprised you're over-run! And I imagine you'll get several offers from that first group.

I've recently been looking in M27/M28 in the £140-£160k bracket and if you weren't first through the door you had no chance!

wowfudge · 22/04/2018 16:18

That's interesting dancingqueen - I know the area well.

How did Saturday's viewings go OP?

MyMorningHasBroken · 22/04/2018 19:41

Thankyou dancingqueen. It is obviously vacant. All neutral colours and in decent condition so ready to move in I'd say.
My agent said he'd call me this week as he doesn't work weekends and update me so hopefully tomorrow.
It is ex council (bought up in early 1990s by H) but area is a mix of private and council I think now so this may have swayed the lower price bracket?
I guess having good schools nearby also helps.

I don't know the area but it's a lovely starter/2nd step home and nicely maintained so no wonder it's popular. That would be 3-4 x the price in London!

mostdays · 23/04/2018 09:12

I'm in M19, you'll be run off your feet I imagine!

MyMorningHasBroken · 23/04/2018 19:51

Thanks for replies. We got 4 offers today. The highest is £165K :)

Fab - hopefully things go well from here OP.

dancingqueen345 · 25/04/2018 22:48

Brilliant news!

Prestonsflowers · 25/04/2018 22:51

That’s great news.
My son and DIL live in M20.
I thought you’d get a good offer quite quickly
