I have loads of soil to get rid of, would a hippo bag or a skip be the cheapest option? Anyone have an idea?

I'm a Hippobag evangelist - I think they're brilliant! You can put soil in, but as LotsOfSlats said, there is a set limit and they won't be able to take it if it's overfull.

For the medium sized one, it's about £140 for the bag and collection.

I hired a skip a few years ago and it was £250, but it was about twice the size of the Hippobag.

Is it top soil? Have you tried advertising it on a Facebook selling page (or other similar site)?
I often see soil advertised and it seems popular (you could advertise for free or bag it up in heavy duty sacks and charge a few £s).

Thanks all, yes it's top soil. I've put it on Facebook but still have loads to get rid off! Looks like Hippobag would be the cheapest option.

Not everyone is on Facebook, it might be worth putting it on shpock/gumtree to see if you can get rid of more, especially with spring now underway more people will be gardening.

Speak to your local skip company. Mine has different rates depending on what you plan to put in it. One full topsoil would be at the cheaper end of the scale.
