Would love your thoughts.....i had one in my old kitchen but the cupboard door didn't live the heat and water it generated....i am totally put off having an integrated one in our lovely new kitchen. Has anyone else had this issue?

We've had awful trouble with our integrated one. The door has warped with the heat and as we've replaced it 3 times since having the kitchen, it gets harder and harder to fit each time plus you're more limited with the selection. Our next one will be freestanding and looking at it won't be an issue after such trouble Grin.

I've had my integrated dishwasher (Hotpoint) in my kitchen (Cooke and Lewis) for years without this problem, so it can be done.

My previous dishwasher was made by Aga (weird I know) and was a piece of shit that broke regularly - design flaw with the water inlet or something. But the current Hotpoint is fine!

Integrated for 10 years
No issue with dishwasher or door (solid oak)

No issue here. Very cheap units.

I have had four. I once had an issue with the worktop above but that was due to poor fitting. We have never had a problem with the doors. Think you have been really unlucky.

CoperCabana · 07/04/2018 20:31

Btw, only had 4 due to moving houses and not taking it with us.

No issueshere, have had integrated in 2 kitchens. Just replaced a freestanding one and much prefer not having the gaps down the sides.

Moved into a house with decade old integrated washer and dishwasher. Washer was shite and replaced with an ordinary one immediately but no soggy door problems with integrated dishwasher.

Non integrated don't look bad, anyhow. It's all plain door.

I've had 2 integrated dishwashers ( different houses ) and I think they are fine as long as when the cycle is finished you open the door enough so the heat / steam can escape. or just leave it shut until you are ready. ( Or indeed don't be as lazy as me and just empty when it is finished ) Blush

Three integrated dishwashers in three different properties (cheap units from ikea and diy kitchens) and I didn’t even know this was a possibility.

Integrated dishwashers for over 30 years and never had a problem with the doors. Had bosch, hotpoint and now neff.

I wouldn't get intergrated, just replaced ours to find the current one can't take the weight of the new door! Cue steam escaping & warranty being voided.
