What is this random wall switch for?! It’s driving me mad!

Ok so we live in a rented apartment. It was built 9 years ago and we so far are the first and only tenants. There is a switch on the wall of the master bedroom that I have wondered for years what it is for and now am hoping the power of mumsnet can tell me! It is the bottom switch in the photo with a sticker that says lift. There is needless to say no lift in my bedroom nor in the building for that matter so I’m assuming the lift sticker possibly refers to the fuse panel that can be lifted out? Not sure but it’s driving me nuts!

Can you unscrew it and pop it off and see what's behind it? Post a pic...

Our neighbours had a switch in the bedroom of their Victorian semi, the function of which drove them bonkers - turns out having called several ex owners ( small village ) that it operated/overrode a kitchen socket so the kettle could be boiled before the owner went down stairs. They were engineers and couldn’t let it go ‘til it was solved. Yours looks like more a future proofing effort though.

If there is a bathroom on the other side of the wall, On/Off for the heated towel rail?

Organ consoles often have mysterious switches. In one church there is an obsolete button which only a few old timers knew the meaning of. Somebody labelled it "pulpit trapdoor".

It's also rumoured that at St Paul's Cathedral, there are two organ stops which must never be used. One of them is danger of damaging the building; the other has been personally vetoed by Her Majesty, so it must never be used at any royal events!
