We're buying a house which belonged to an old person and it needs so much doing.

The survey is next week but we are expecting to have to do a full rewire, install central heating, new kitchen, ripping weird 70s fake brickwork from lounge, replace tiny bath with shower then to decorate and new carpets.

Fuck, it seems a lot.

Should we rewire first of install central heating first?

Rewire and then central heating, electricity is needed for EVERYTHING and heating/hot water you can work around. Plus dodgy electrics could potentiall be a fire risk.

We did exactly the same 3 years ago, we now have a gorgeous house, good luck!

Thanks, it feels overwhelming at the moment but I'm sure we'll get there.

Both electrics and plumbing/heating need to go in as soon as you’ve ripped everything out. After that’s done, you can start putting the house back together.
