Dark blue matt kitchen unit doors - reviews please!

Does anyone have them? Could anyone that does have them, review them for me please?

We really like the dark blue kitchen unit doors which seem to be stocked by quite a few kitchen companies now, (we'd probably buy from DIY kitchens), but don't know how good they are at hiding muck and dust? Do they need wiping down a lot? Do they show finger print marks? Do they get stained by curry/tomato etc even though they are dark coloured?

We've got fake veneer dark oak doors at the moment, and while they're hideous, they hide sticky finger marks, cat food splats (the cats are messy eaters!), and general splats, muck and dust really well, so I'm wondering if changing to a matt dark blue would be sensible or silly, given how much muck my family and pets create! I only need to wipe down our kitchen base units once or twice a week at the moment...

Thanks everyone!

Someone on here has a stunning matt navy kitchen but I can't remember who. Hopefully by bumping it, they will spot it 😊

Watching with interest... my currently being planned dream kitchen has dark blue doors. Thinking about getting it from DIY Kitchens.

I have them, didn't realise they were becoming popular I picked and had the colour special ordered by the kitchen company only a few months ago it wasn't available in the catalogue. Hope it doesn't date my kitchen terribly.

Anyway, I love it, only have it on my island with a cream rest of kitchen. The contrast is great. No marks are obvious so far, I've a grey speckled granite worktop that really works with it imo

I do! Definitely doesn't stain. Needs a wipe down every now and then but nothing too bad

Mine is Hague blue. No problem with it whatsoever and I'm quick to spot things and get annoyed ;)

I also have a F&B Hague Blue kitchen and I couldn't love it more!

Thanks everyone! It's nice to hear that none of you are regretting going for dark blue doors, and they are not dirt magnets.

Could I ask what colour unit carcasses you have as well please? And whether you can see the units colours underneath (if they don't match the doors), and whether that bothers you?

If we go with DIY kitchens they don't matched carcass and door colours if outside of their standard range, so I think their recommended carcass colours to go with dark blue doors are their light or dark wood effect ones, or their graphite or light grey ones.

The DIY kitchens showroom has a show kitchen in F&B Hague blue, with light wood carcasses, and on some areas I did feel that the light wood grain carcass colour was quite obvious when the doors were closed. I'm not sure if this is the norm and whether you have to either love or hate the colour difference between carcasses and doors?

Thanks!
