How to find replacement part for old oak curtain rail?

Moved home and my curtain rail is missing the bit that's shaped like a mushroom and hides the screw that holds the pole to the part it rests on that attaches to the wall. I've tried google but modern curtain rails don't seem to have this part. Does anyone know what this mushroom part is called or how I might find find it?

They're called finials.

Bit that attaches to wall is a bracket, usually a cup bracket

Not quite sure what you mean but could you try a new bracket like this?

After bumping I had a think about the function of the bit I was trying to describe. .. I've located it. It's called a screw cap! Replacement screw cap now ordered!

I have no idea what a screw cap is 😂.

Neither did I butter. Modern wood rails don't seem to have this but it used to be that the pole was screwed in so it wouldn't move. This screw went through the wall bracket pole holder thing and was therefore visible... hence the screw cap! It's made of the same substance and fits in the holder and is mushroom shaped!
