Boiler help

Moved house in November. Ferroli boiler from 2009 has crashed twice with an electrical fault to do with a temperature sensor (simple reset advised). We have a routine issue where it gives a minute of hot water to the bath and shower before running tepid and had a service today from our regular boiler people that we trust. After consulting with the company because they dont see many of the boilers, we've been quoted nearly 450 to fix a secondary heat system part. My question is- do we pay now to fix the part on a 9yr old boiler or live with the fault (doesn't affect anywhere but bath and shower) and save for a newer more familiar boiler make? We currently have quick showers and shallow bath for toddler.

Ferroli’s are awful, we wouldn’t install one. I’m surprised it has got to nine years old! don’t waste money fixing it if you can live with it in the broken state save up for a reputable brand.

Our 2006 Ferrolli lasted 5yrs, with intermittent small but irritating issues. We finally gave in, realised we were throwing good money after bad, and replaced it in 2011 with a valliant, which hasn't given us a minutes bother in 7years. I'd get rid of it as soon as you can afford to replace it.
