Space saving wc

Very short on space. Does anyone have one? What are your thoughts? I have found them uncomfortable to sit on, a weird shape that can be awkward to clean and OH doesn't want to be cleaning up skid marks every morning. Any good models/makes to check out? Thanks for your help! Also decent corner sink referrals welcome 😁

and which room(s) are on the route to the outside world?

kitchen, I expect.

We have an ideal standard space corner WC and it's been fine. Looks normal etc etc. We went for everything in the space range as our useable space was 2m x 2m. My only complaint would be that we have to buy the special loo seat from ideal, (or replacement hinges) we cant make do with a cheaper one because it's a special size.

It is 140cmx 80cm but we had to have a cupboard built as well into one side to secure off the electricity meter and fuse box so that comes out approx 17cm but even so its a perfectly usable toilet room! We had an led light put in which is very bright! And an extractor fan which is very quiet. I think there is a way of fitting a fan even if not directly on outside wall pp so definitely look into it!

Kitchen yes! Not putting a loo in there though. Grin Understairs cupboard opens into small utility which has door into the garden so could fan the whole area I suppose!

Ah thanks Bobster, that’s very kind of you Smile

Thanks for that, Piglet.

you can run a duct from the fan to the outside world. Typically it is a rigid plastic tube of 110mm diameter (soil pipe is often used) though rectangular ducts can be fitted, and flexible hose (as for tumbledriers) is possible, though it collects fluff and dust, and is easily damaged.

The reason a kitchen is not bad is that duct can often be concealed on top of the wall cabinets, or inside them. If exposed, the rectangular duct can be put in the angle of ceiling and wall, and can be painted to suit.

Duct length reduces airflow, so if over about 3m, you may need a more powerful fan, probably an inline duct fan.

In some cases you can run a duct between the joists of the floor above. If it was me I would then wrap it in dense mineral wool to reduce any noise. It's best sloping slightly down as it runs outside, so any condensation in the duct, can run out. This is less likely when there is no steamy shower.

Soory, not kept up with this. There are different versions of the O. Novo, make sure you are ordering the smaller one, mine have come up exactly to the spec on the V&B website.

Piglet thank you for the advice Flowers

We have an ideal standard "della" it's just under 62cm from wall to bowl end. We have a big enough bathroom, just didn't need or fancy a bigger toilet. The seat is normal on this but the tank is narrow. It flushes well and powerfully and refills in an instant.
