Help - does anyone own a Samsung G-Series RSG5UCRS fridge freezer?

Could you please measure the right hand door for me? Or tell me how far you need to open the right hand door to be able to pull out the drawers inside the fridge?

We're designing our new kitchen layout and for various reasons the fridge freezer needs to go in a corner, but I can't find anywhere that tells me how much space I need to allow to the right of the fridge - how far from the wall it needs to be. Huge thanks to anyone who has one of these and doesn't mind getting a tape measure out.

I don’t have this fridge but I strongly recommend you see this fridge in person and measure it yourself. Don’t rely on strangers. Most doors need to open well beyond 90 degrees to pull the drawers out completely. You may need 10cm or more on the sides. You also need to measure the depth to make sure the doors are proud of the cabinets. Measure, measure and measure again when it comes to kitchens!

The right hand door (fridge) is 513mm wide. The drawers don't open fully in normal use, they have a natural stop when they're open to approx 12cm, at which point the door handle extends 245mm beyond the edge of the fridge. To remove the drawers/open them more than 12cm you need to open the door as far as the hinges allow, at which point the door handle extends approx 475mm beyond the edge of the fridge.

Thank you LtheWife - that is brilliant. I haven't been able to find a local stockist - we'll be ordering online - so it is fab to find someone who has one.

How do you find it - would you recommend it?

Overall I'm very happy with it. We bought ours online at the end of last year but my parents have had the same since 2013 and are very happy with it.

The only slight niggles are having to fling the door open wide to get larger items in the drawers (things like a head of cauliflower, a large chicken etc) and in my version the top shelf needs to be removed to replace the water filter, whereas with my parents older version the shelf can stay in place. Not really a problem though as it only needs changing once every six months. My parents did have problems with the finish on the drip tray under the water dispenser being damaged by limescale so I've been careful to give mine a quick wipe down after each use just to be on the safe side as we live in hard water area.

For delivery purposes I'd recommend having a look at the user manual online for all the dimensions too. It came without the handles being attached which helped with getting it through doorways etc but it was a bit tight. I believe the doors can be taken off if needed and the all the dimensions with and without doors are listed in the manual.
