Should I remove the kitchen window?

We have a small semi-detached house that we are gradually doing up. The kitchen is at the back of the house and the window originally looked out on to the back garden. However previous owners built a conservatory along the back of the house and the window now looks directly into the conservatory.

We are going to put in a new kitchen. I don't know what to do about this window. I hate looking into the conservatory and it's not as though I would ever open the window as it is no longer external. I would like to remove it and brick it up. We are not planning to move house but you never know what will happen - will this put off potential buyers?

If we had a spare £100k we would knock down the conservatory and put on a lovely extension, but this is not going to happen.

Is there room to change it for French doors instead? Agree windows into conservatories are weird. But not keen on a windowless kitchen either 😔

I think at resale this window no window situation won't be a deal breaker. Because I think people will probably think about redoing or doing away with the conservatory and the window is small potatoes

If I changed it into French doors they would open into the conservatory...the kitchen has no external walls not covered by the damned conservatory.

It is encouraging to think that potential buyers won't be put off. I do hope they would see the potential to extend as you say shake.

I would much prefer doors than windows opening into s conservatory if that is possible?

How much light does the window let in OP? If your house is very bright at the back and really doesn't need the light buyers shouldn't care - unless you have an amazing garden you'd no longer be able to see from the room. The back of my house is v dark (think that side faces NE) so it needs all the light it can get.
