(Another) DIYKitchens question

Hello!

We have just decided to go with a DIYKitchen rather than an IKEA kitchen for our renovation.

We'd like to keep costs down though, so we were thinking of doing the installation ourselves. We also can never seem to find reliable fitters. We're relatively competent DIY-ers, and I've got my design all CAD-ed up.

The only help (I think) we'd need is with plastering and electrical work (no gas), as well as the fitting of the worktops.

Has anyone got experience of doing most of the installation themselves when using DIYKitchens? Good experiences? Or is it a nightmare and I should just spend the money on a fitter?

We did our fitting, except gas, plastering, electrics and worktops (got silestone worktops through DIY kitchens).
It wasn't too difficult, though in some places tricky where we had to make a lot of cut outs for pipes. Things like corner posts and void spacing at the back of corner units are important to consider when checking the measurements.
We still have a few finishing off jobs to do, so in some ways a fitter would have been better as it all would have been done, but saving money on that allowed us better appliances and worktops so I think it was the better option overall for us.
