i want to order a 2 piece chaise end sofa from next... the lounge door is 75cmx 200,,,i dont think it will fit but we could go via the garage 90cmx 200 then take a window110x150 out, the sofa is height 88cm...length of each part about 180. The depth however is 101 for the chaise section. i just dont know what to do... every sofa i look at as i need an L shaped one i am struggling to see how i can get it in.. does anyone know of a site i can use or someone who can work it out for me

Most sofas have removable arms, they had to remove the arms off of mine to get it in...

Just looked that up online to see what shape it is. Is it possible that it comes apart?

We have a similar shape sofa and it came in two pieces that then Velcro'd together. Looking at it, you wouldn't realise though as you can't see the join.

if DFS have a similar sized sofa you can get them to come to your house and see if it will fit. I had a problem with a sofa purchase from elsewhere and ended up at DFS. One of their delivery guys came to my flat and knew immediately that the one i wanted would be ok. They also made it up as 3 pieces instead of 2 piece (L-shape) for a smallish fee.

it will be too pieces but i haven moved yet so can only order it if it will go in..i can see that the arm height is 69...but the width is 106 and the length is 174. this is the chaise rectangular section... would it get in a 75cm door if it was stood on the 69 arm end...or would it be too wide at 106.. i just need someone to work it ot on paper first

Sofas are generally made to fit through British standard doorways, they pivot in on an angle. If they didn't make them to fit standard doorways, no one would buy them or they'd all be returned. The issue is normally awkward angles getting in, low ceilings, reduced space at either end of the door, rather than the door itself being too small.

Do be careful before you order though. I originally ordered a sofa from Oak Furnitureland and my measured stairs and doorways to make sure it would fit and all seemed ok. In the end there was a slightly awkward angle in my hallway and the sofa just wouldn't fit through the living room door and had to be returned. They charged me over £400 (1/3 of cost of sofa) penalty for failing to measure the angle accurately (wtf!). I got a full refund after a lot of shouting and screaming at them but I would never ever shop there again. Read the small print regarding deliveries and refunds.
