Pegboards in kitchen drawers from Wickes/Benchmarx

Has anyone put their crockery into a drawer with a peg board

I'm considering purchasing a wickes kitchen and want to know if the drawers are really strong enough

particularly looking at the 9000mm drawers

With an inexpensive kitchen like the Wickes ready to fit range I'd be checking the weight limit of the runners and how thick is the drawer bottom/ is it fixed on all four sides?

This suggests 25kg weight limit which I would think is a bit low for a full drawer of crockery. I expect they spec the same runners no matter how large or small the drawer. When we had a similar drawer (80cm, full of Denby) it came with 30kg runners as standard, you could feel them straining and I changed them for 50kg which were much better.

Maybe weigh a few stacks of plates and work it out?

Thankyou Notmenono - that is just what I needed to know as I too want to put my Denby in it !!!

where dd you source your 50kg runners from

off to weigh my plates now :-)

They are brilliant drawers but I worked out 5 stacks x 8-10 place settings is quite a lot of value.

Also used the ikea plate holders not a pegboard.

I think we got our runners from Isaac Lord, these might be here what you need but check whether your kitchen has Blum drawers/with the fitter. If you are saving money on the kitchen it's worth beefing up the parts that need it.

Having done some research Wickes have Blum drawers and you can get 50kg runners

Oh you're welcome.

Years ago my grandmother broke her entire dinner service when the legs collapsed on her sideboard, it haunts us still!
