Anyone have them and willing to give me the downsides? Thinking of partitioning our living room/kitchen with these, so I can start cooking fish and curry again.

Main upside is that they are very pretty to look at. Main downside is the absolutely eye watering cost!

Plumbs I had the same idea and got some quotes.... yeah, nice in theory, if you’ve got buckets of cash lying round then go for it otherwise you’ll need a rethink. Internal double doors for us were coming in at 8.5k if memory serves.

Hmmm. It’d be for our home for the next 20 years, I don’t mind spending a bit. That said, I’m worried they may be a bit “bi-fold doors and F&B paint” of the 2010s. I think they only look good in black, and that really restricts design styles, too.

I don't think they will date if they are period with your house and right for its architectural style. For example, if you live in a block where crittal was the original style, but where UPVC has since been installed, putting them back could be amazing. Like any detail (those mock Tudor diagnonals popular in the 80s!!) , in the wrong place they will look strange.
