I'm going around in circles trying to decide! Budget is ideally around £450, but would be prepared to go up to £800 for a 'wow' model.

I was going to go Bosch or Neff, but keep reading negative reviews on the models with cutlery trays as it doesn't leave enough room for wine glasses? Does anyone have a good basket model of either of these? I also read that Neff has changed to plastic inside rather than stainless steel.

We've had a Hotpoint Aquarius one for 13 years. I'll be buying the integrated version for the extension!

Just helped my elderly neighbour find a dishwasher, ended up buying this www.aeg.co.uk/taste/inspiration/mastery-range/mastery-products/comfortlift/
Absolute game changer! Lower basket raises up so no more bending to load/unload. The middle basket is can be hired or lowered depending upon your needs each load, and there is a cutlery basket on the top. Shop around with discount codes as we got it for £760. Worth the extra for the convenience

Depends how tall your wine glasses are
You can usually lower the height of the top crockery/glass tray

We have a Bosch with the cutlery basket - similar to this one www.johnlewis.com/bosch-sms46iw04g-freestanding-dishwasher-white/p3224099

I have a miele one with the thin cutlery drawer at the top. It's brilliant. Very adjustable (I don't put wine glasses or plans in mine but you could fit them in easily)

We have an integrated Neff one with a cutlery basket. I'm not bothered about putting wine glasses in as we have cheap ones for every day and the better ones are crystal and can't go in. I'm impressed by it's cleaning but I do think our previous Bosch was perhaps easier to stack.

I love my Miele one (bottom of the range) but yes, I do find wine glasses a problem with the cutlery tray. I don't think they are particularly large ones, but perhaps slightly taller than some. So I have to put them down with the pots and pans in the lower tray. I also find that the location of the various spikes and dents and stuff to balance dishes a bit strange for the things I need to put in, but maybe that's me loading an odd selection of dishes!

Works well, though, and I got it in the JL sale when they were discounting various display models, slightly cosmetically damaged ones, etc.

I like the cutlery tray because it's so easy to unload, and nothing scrapes against each other so the cutlery isn't getting scratched now either.

I've had 2 Mieles and recommend them. They get a lot of use as we entertain a lot and the cutlery tray at the top is v useful

It's this one

Previous one only gave up after many years and a lot of use

Thanks all - I probably should have said it was integrated, not sure if that makes a difference to usable space inside? Would love a miele, but not sure that's within budget as we every other appliance to buy too and it's adding up!

Will have a look at the AEG as hadn't considered them, and that lifting thing looks fab WattdeEll
