Large upvc picture windows

We are planning an extension and thinking about adding large picture windows instead of bi-fold doors to the rear wall of garden. But I have no idea how large can be usual upvc windows. Would love to have windows 180cm tall and as wide as possible.
Any idea how big upvc windows can be. Do I need to get aluminium windows for large size? It doesn't need to be slim frame, as long as there is large glass.

We put 2 v large windows in our h/h to maximise the first floor view. Appprox 2.74m x 2 m. Made and fitted by a local window firm.
They had to meet building regs, regarding safety glass and thermal insulation. The glass was very heavy and costly. To cut costs, both of glass and installation we opted for a vertical transept so each window had two pieces of glass.
We also has self cleaning glass.

Thanks. When you say vertical transept, is it divided in two panes?

We put PVC windows in at a previous house across the whole back elevation: media.rightmove.co.uk/dir/11k/10292/61245851/10292_412970_IMG_04_0000_max_656x437.jpg
From memory, they were around 2m tall and each pane was probably ~1.5m wide

*mum2015, yes they were divided by a thin vertical bar, so two panes for each window.
To have a whole pane for each window would have been very heavy and required a crane to lift them into position! Also, the panes themselves would have been twice the price.
We really do not notice the vertical bar.

Thank you JT05 and parkview.
