Looking for quartz worktops for our new kitchen. Topsco have given us best price (& seemed v approachable on phone) but just wondered if anyone has any experiences of them? Thank you!

I’ve paid 4K for my worktops and they still haven’t installed them. They’ve cancelled 4 times now. Mine were templates in sept/Oct and to be installed late October. It’s been excuse after excuse! I’m looking at other companies and will be looking to get my 4K back.

Not surprised Snowglobes....
We got our deposit back after my partner shouted at them over the phone as they insisted on lying to us about the chain of events (i.e. they said we changed our minds and more, when it was all clearly documented on emails...). Quite honestly Nick showed up to behave like a lowly thug in his dealings and communication with us at the end.
Oliver eventually stepped in and "graciously" granted the refund, which we still had to chase several times to put into action.
We then followed our builders' recommendation and went with Rex Marble in West Hampstead. Straightforward and great work.
I feel for you, but press on and if necessary threaten to visit in person, they only answer to threats.

I’ve always dealt with Oliver and then Angela but Nick called me today saying he’ll sort it tomorrow. I know he won’t. I’ll contact trading standards but not sure if that’ll help. If they don’t refund in full I’ll go for a small claims court. Angela actually laughed today when she said it would be happening.

hi yinqian, i had a similar experience as well. delayed fitting (1 month) and them not supplying the other half of the order contracted. we were at the verge of taking them to court as they refused to answer emails/calls. upon recognisng the court would favour us because contractually they are obligated to supply what they sold, they eventually contacted us to resolve this. the experience is this company is fairly new, and they are willing to step on their clients to preserve their profit, even if they mis sold. integrity is not within this company

Hi guys, I have had exactly the same experience as most of you guys. Originally chose them as saw their Instagram page and liked their work.
Paid my £500 deposit back in October 2018, asked for the job to be templated in December, which they did and I was told pay the remaining deposit of £3700 and the job will be installed in January. For the next 2 months just got told the stone is not in stock at the suppliers due to Christmas and New Year closures, this just went on and on. Finally in March, get told the stone has been delivered and for the last few weeks every week Angela has been telling me it is being fabricated and will be installed on Friday, every week a new excuse comes from them like the saw has broken so they can’t install it. Last week, Nick calls and says they have been having some issues and they haven’t even started the fabrication process and he would update me in the morning if to go ahead with the order or cancel it. At that stage I decided to cancel the order as I have no hope or trust in them delivering the worktops. I contacted a local company on Tuesday and by Sunday I had all my new worktops installed. Now the battle is trying to get my money back from them, which I know is going to be a battle, currently I’m being told once the stone I ordered is returned to the wholesaler, they will then refund me the money in 4 instalments each week. Which does not make any sense, I’m now in discussions with my credit card company to get my money back. These guys are spending money on marketing and flashy websites but can not deliver, so I would advise everyone to stay away from them.

A lot of delays and I am now pursuing court claims against them.

Snowglobes · 21/04/2019 00:03

tony123tony they’ve said the same to me. 4 weekly instalments except it took 3 weeks to get the 1st instalment back and no sign of the 2nd/3rd or 4th instalments. Is it legal to trade like this?

Snowglobes · 21/04/2019 00:07

I looked them up on companies House and it seems they change their name a fair bit and don’t have a great turnover/profit from what I can tell. I wonder if they just keep re-starting given they’re a limited company?

Foster82 · 31/05/2019 17:25

Would advise anyone against using this company! Utter nightmare from start to finish and shoddy workmanship. Very eager for you to pay all costs up front by bank transfer. We were left without a usable kitchen for 9 weeks due to their incompetence and it is virtually impossible to get hold of them. Had every excuse under the sun for not turning up when promised , then would ask for the payment balance when they hadn’t even turned up. They are completely unprofessional and will never use them again or recommend to anyone

Snowglobes · 31/07/2019 00:55

I’m still chasing for a refund despite gaining a County court judgement against them! Did all of you get refunded @yinqian @tony123Tony @cheyne06 etc etc

avamwebb · 01/08/2019 09:55

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They will take your money and keep you waiting and waiting. Our templater came out on 26 June, we paid 80% of the price and were promised it would be installed within 3 weeks - we are still waiting 5 weeks later with no installation date. We moved out of our house as cooking facilities and running water downstairs is a necessity for a young family and really are at the end of our tether. Their customer service is atrocious and their business ethic is diabolical. They don't have one. They just turn up when they like and think they can get away with it. They just don't care about their customers and are clearly completely unaware of how important a kitchen is to a family and the stress is can cause not to have access to one. I am in touch with Citizens Advice bureau and will be reporting them to trading standards and writing a letter to the independent to try and make sure other people do not have to go through the same.
