Ordered an item from this company some time ago which was never received and I unsuccessfully tried to cancel. Now company have emailed saying they are going into liquidation so cannot fulfil orders or give refunds. Their website appears to still be taking orders so please avoid!

Did anyone else receive an email form the Administrators today ?

cornwall1981 · 31/01/2018 21:56

Yeah I got an email

honeysucklejasmine · 01/02/2018 16:01

My husband said something vague about an email confirming we'd get a refund. I thought he meant from visa. What did it say? (Wish I was dealing with it but we paid using his card unfortunately)

Has anyone had any luck yet with getting a refund from their card provider?

Babyroobs · 04/02/2018 22:25

we've sent all the documents off to our bank to try to get a refund. So annoying. In the meantime we have bought another ( much cheaper ) desk off Ebay and are really pleased with it !!

honeysucklejasmine · 04/02/2018 22:39

We had a letter from our bank asking for a few documents which we'd already provided, so DH is going to ring tomorrow to figure out what's going on. Interestingly it asked for evidence we had tried to recover the money. Presumably the email informing us on liquidation/administration etc is sufficient? I got the impression it was an automated list of documents so may not all be applicable.

Such a ballache.

honeysucklejasmine · 04/02/2018 22:46

I've reported the post above by getitright. I am incredibly uncomfortable about being asked to research someone's personal details. I find the whole post very odd indeed.

I just want to make clear that I am in no way interested to a vendetta or large scale legal action when there are perfectly functional and legal ways of recouping money.

getitright · 05/02/2018 14:40

Honeysucklejasmine.

Honeysucklejasmine in reply to your feedback to what I have written seems very strange indeed. I am only asking people for information, for the very unlucky people that have lost many hundreds of pounds that have paid in cash [in-shop] for items which have been withheld from the customer. Honeysucklejasmine what would you call it? My article was written with the best of intentions to bringing this sort of deceitful person or persons too book. “Legally” I must stress Legally. At no time have I asked any person to do something wrong or was not legal..”Vendetta” where has that come from. You seem to be venting your anger at the wrong person. You stay very quite when it comes to this company behaviour,Do you not see that. Yet you do not mention the useful information/help I have given. Last point these type of business people have been ripping people of for years, its got to stop. Police can not help as its a civil matter. Trading Standards are useless. When the liquidators move in the poor customer loses everything. Where is the “perfectly functional and legal ways of recouping money” as you put it. For those poor people that paid in cash. Please tell me, instead of reporting a perfectly legal and helpful post. Please read that post again and count to ten before committing thoughts to Mumsnet. Or you could try and helping in some way. Helping other people is what Mumsnet is all about is it not.

getitright · 07/02/2018 12:38

That's the main problem with this type of theift it has far reaching effects on some people.I realy do feel for you.Have you tryed your local charity shop thay somtimes have big warehouse/shops.I have just got my big dinning table from one for £95 delivered within 24 hours.Maybe you could do the same good luck.Maybe that's the answer instead of online shopping.

getitright · 07/02/2018 12:49

Honeysucklejasmine.
It's now been three days since I asked you a simple question, where is the “perfectly functional and legal ways of recouping money” [As you put it] for those that have paid cash in store. Come on let's all hear what you have got to say. You where very quick in misjudging me and my motives, yet say nothing about my request for these so called legal avenues we should seek.
Helpful information. Are you all aware that Oak furniture solution is the sister company of Go logistics the delivery company with Mr Robin Hunt as one of its directors. Also do a search of Go logistics and you will find two images, one of an empty warehouse the other of a white van parked side-on with no advertising on it. Someone is taking the mickey out of all of us including you Honeysucklejasmine.
Also Robin Hunt has two failed company's behind him Oak furniture solution is his third.
My helpful research also found out that a lot of support company's stopped doing work for Oak furniture solution over 6 months ago.
I have even been on the phone for over an hour to the Google search engine to try and get this site taking down,no help at all.
Honeysucklejasmine you might be lucky in getting your money back from the card company this time, good luck with that. But that bank refund has got to come from somewhere. I can tell you,it comes from higher bank charges/interest payments. Honeysucklejasmine who pays them? Yes you got it right ,you do. While Mr Robin Hunt and those like him bank our hard earned money.
Honeysucklejasmine if the bank stopped doing the refunds and you fall fowl to this type of theft again to the tune of thousands of pounds would your response to my first blog have been the same.
Also how would you feel, knowing that you might have inadvertently helped this man, go on to his next planed company. Or could he already be scamming others. Come on the rest of you help me out here. Or you can all sit back and let the bank take the hit, which in turn will hit you again a second time.
It would have been nice to hear from Mumsnet why they took down my first post so quickly just because of one complaint. Last but not least Honeysucklejasmine are you part of mumsnet management?
You all should look on ebay to see if the furniture you have paid for is for sale. That being the case people on ebay are buying stolen property.Which if they are found to have this property thay could face jail.

honeysucklejasmine · 07/02/2018 16:15

Yep. I'm in on a multi company scam designed to steal your money, and I also work for Mumsnet.

No-one on this thread has said they paid in cash. We are approaching various card providers to recoup our losses.

You seem to have leapt in to this thread with a huge amount of information from elsewhere, in a style as if to suggest this is some long running consumer action thread.

If you've got one running, please direct people to wherever you have been discussing this, as it's clearly not here.

I'm afraid I think asking the posters on this thread to provide you with the personal address of a private individual, which noone on this thread had previously referred to, is a bit off. MN obviously agreed.

I didn't say anything you were doing was illegal. I simply said I am following the legal avenues available to me via my bank.

Lastly, I do not owe you a response at all, let alone within a timeframe of your choosing. No matter how many times you type my username.

getitright · 07/02/2018 18:37

Honeysucklejasmine.
The word I used was” inadvertently” which means adverb [without intention;accidentally.] due to the fact you read my good intentions the wrong way as you have done before.
My question “Are you part of Mumsnet company was a valid question due to the speed of the blog being withdrawn. Without the chance of me clearing up the points you raised. That same speed you used was the benchmark I used for you to reply. Maybe you should take the time to read and listen more. Which would greatly help in your overall response to people. Not once have you said anything about the help I have given, strange that!! This help has come to an end sorry for all those that have lost so much money. Good luck to your all, your going to need it. Good bye.
Honeysucklejasmine it was never my intentions to upset anyone including you,I apologise if I have.

cornwall1981 · 07/02/2018 21:49

Oh god shut up!
I’m sick of getting emails saying someone has replied and logging on to find it’s this drivel again! It’s great that you’ve taken the time to find out so much but not all of us have the time to do that much about it! I work 13 hours a day and have horses to look after hence I really just want to go through the bank first to see if we can get the money back that way. We dont need lectures just because we don’t want to go down the same avenue as you! Good look with YOUR journey. Leave it at that.
Anyone else going through the bank chargeback process got anywhere yet?
I’m a little unsure what to write on the form where it says “prof that you’ve contacted the liquidator” we all know that we’ll get nothing from them because the bank and hmrc will be taking what they are owed first one there’s never anything left.

honeysucklejasmine · 07/02/2018 22:45

Lol Cornwall! 😂 I think we just included the email from the company directing us to use chargeback. Our bank asked for extra information which we sent last night. Today we got a "we got your email" confirmation but no actual reply yet.

cornwall1981 · 07/02/2018 23:35

Thanks Honeysuckle .. fingers crossed!!

getitright · 08/02/2018 20:37

Cornwall1981
Just to let you know I have received my oak furniture today one day earlier than expected. So somebody somewhere has seen my information request and send the furniture. So it just go's to prove that if you stickup for yourself s, and just don't sit back and moan. Things will get sorted. I think that's a very good job. You all still waiting? “Shame” Thats without my fingers being crossed.God bless to you too.

whatsthecomingoverthehill · 08/02/2018 20:46

Don't be an arse getitright.

honeysucklejasmine · 10/02/2018 16:29

We've had our money back in to our account on the 9th Feb, via chargeback.

Good luck everyone! We paid via visa debit, if that helps.

cornwall1981 · 10/02/2018 18:18

Oh brilliant!! Really pleased for you honeysuckle :) we paid the same way so hopefully we’ll be in the same position shortly x
