Seriously dull boiler question

We have an old house and need to replace the boiler and central heating system. We have two bathrooms that will eventually become three so we need a boiler and hot water cylinder like a Megaflow. Is there any reason we couldn’t site them in the store room attached to our house?

The store is single storey (main house is two storey) with a proper roof, power, water supply, proper floor (if in slightly poor condition) is near the outside drain and water tight but the gable end has gaps in the bricks at the top for ventilation and the windows and doors are more shed than house. It’s drafty and a bit cold. The boiler could be vented out of the roof.

The plan is to convert the store to a bathroom in the near future, with a bedroom extension off it.

Before I get the plumber chap round would this be possible in theory?

I’ve made that sound very complicated! It’s probably most similar to putting it in a garage that’s part of a house. I’m thinking some sort of pipe insulation may be possible??

I had a combi-boiler fitted last year when we moved house. It is a 1930s house and it had an old back boiler in it. I wanted the boiler in the loft as I really didn't have anywhere else to put it, the kitchen is small and there was no other suitable wall space. I got a few quotes and a few plumbers said nah you can't do that and a couple were like no problem! Shop around and you will find someone who can do what you want. It sounds like the room you want it in has most of the components you need and can be adapted. I used 'my builder' to advertise the job.

Shouldn't be a problem with this, but your plumber would advise if there is. We were going to put our boiler/cylinder in an outside cupboard - almost to make a 'plant room' - our plumber had no concerns with this.

Thank you for replying. I’ll get my plumbing and heating bloke round to quote :)
