Colours that compliment borrowed light

I am about to purchase F&B borrowed light for my dark, east facing dining room. Does anyone have a recommendation for a White for the ceiling? I have the farrow and ball 'how to decorate' book and it suggests 'All white' but I was hoping for a more subtle shade that will work well with the borrowed light?

I also wondered if their is a skirting board colour that is not bright white that would compliment the borrowed light? The room has a lot of woodwork as there are 4 door surrounds and has a cottage style but is a Victorian terrace. Something that would make the woodwork a feature.

Thanks!

Borrowed light is going to look very blue in an east facing dining room - I would think a pure white is a good suggestion with that.

The trouble with off-white for skirting and ceilings is that it can easily look like it's not deliberate, and that the paint is just a bit old/shabby/dirty/affected by nicotine.

What whisky said. Don't overthink it.

We have borrowed light in an east-west hallway. We used PBW for the ceiling and woodwork as it sets off the tones in the pigment really well so agree with others, don’t overthink.
