Glow Worm boiler?

We are replacing an ancient boiler with a new (system rather than combi- hopefully that’s the right term- we want the flexibility of having hot water running in more than one room at a time and hope to add an extra shower to the house in future).

Plumber has quoted for a glow worm energy system saying they’re the best option. We were more keen on a Worcester Bosch which he’s prepared to install but has made it clear he doesn’t rate them as much. Anyone got any views? Thanks!

I'd go for a WB or Vaillent any day over a Gloworm.

Hmm but apparently glow worm now made by Vaillant and much improved

Possibly, but I've had GW and wouldn't risk it for the cost saving (unless you are on a top notch maintenance contract).
I've never had a problem with WB. Long guarantee and excellent service department.
They've all become more like computers than boilers mind you - more to go wrong.

Cool ok thank you for the advice @craigavad- definitely leaning towards getting him to install a WB One Smile

Also. Ask your fitter about a magnetic boiler filter - designed to prolong the life of your new purchase. Smile

WB have a reputation as failsafe. I would go for that personally. Vaillant also very good but I think WB are known as the Rolls-Royce of boilers Smile
