Hi mums!
I went to Wren at the weekend and they designed a kitchen for us (I don't want a review of wren as I have had many mixed reviews so I know where I stand with them!)
It is 13 unit (some of which make an island), flat pack vogue shaker style (shrink wrapped doors) no fancy magic drawers or anything, just standard cupboards and drawers, quartz worktops and a 90cm rangemaster. The rangemaster is the only new appliance we need as we have everything else. I want quartz as we have timber and it's hard to up keep, but I don't want to go for laminate (I just don't like the look)
The quote has come out at £9700k and that is meant to be with discounts! When I added everything up separately it does not seem like we got a discount at all.
Am I mad or is this alot? They said it was originally £12k but i still don't think £9700 in their Jan sales of 50% + 25% off is enough (they claim it's only off the units).
I am waiting to get quotes back from other places. DIY kitchens came in over £1000 cheaper. However that was more the quartz than the kitchen. Wren claim to match any quote too so I am trying to better it.
I can get the quartz and rangemaster cheaper elsewhere if needs be.
The actual kitchen works out at around £3300, which doesn't make sense as in their brochure a 12 unit kitchen is £2300 for the flatpack style I think. I queried why the kitchen is coming out so much as I thought it was 50% +25% off and they said their brochure price is the discount price?! How is this so?! Are they just fake discounts? and if so, how much can I realistically get off what they quoted. I have attached a list of what they are charging for the units, and I really don't know if this is a discounted price or not, as list price and promo price say the same (which they say is a glitch...yea right, more like there is no discount!)
I just don't want to get ripped off!
If anyone has experience of what is a fair price to pay of a kitchen this size and spec, and also what I can realistically haggle it down to, then that would be fab!
