which style kitchen door

We are keeping most of our carcasses and replacing the doors. We currently have a long thin handle going horizontally and want something completely different.
So, do we go for the J handle (ie handle less) or keep a handle and just change the design.

This is today's dilemma on this flipping kitchen refurb. It's really taking it's toll.

Matt 'J' pull is not too bad, nicer than the gloss
just dont forget the panels required etc

true handleless is nicer but not as easy to do if your keeping the carcass

why not so easy Diseno?

depends on your kitcehn layout with tall units and worktop and how it is attached.
The units need notching out for the handle rails.
base units should be doable but if you have tower units then could be a little more involved on the fit side of things.
have you a layout to show of kitchen now?

thanks for the reply. I'll look into it a tad more then before deciding. no layout pictures/photos although I could do a rough sketch Hmm

Try out the J-handles, because they vary wildly in terms of how nice they feel. It's a personal thing, too! I find the Ikea Voxtorp ones REALLY hard to open, for instance - I was totally sold on them before I actually used them but they hurt my hands to use, and would drive me mad in a very short time. Others are actually really lovely and feel nice, so it must be something about that range.

I always think those J handles are bound to end up a bit grubby inside and will just be another thing that needs cleaning. But I've never actually had them so may be wrong.

Thanks for the posts.
I agree whiskyowl. I tried two in one showroom and they felt very different; the cheaper door was much thinner so much less space to get my fingers in the groove.
