Just that really! Any recommendations? I’m after Calacatta marble, more white than grey.

You know marble stains, especially light coloured marble? Granite is better.

I do! I have thought about it over and over and over and just can’t find another material I’d rather use. I’m going to get it and just be really careful! Haha!

Local supplier where you can view the actual slab as there can be a lot of variation in natural materials

Have you seen this quartz www.caesarstoneus.com/collections/classico/5131-calacatta-nuvo/ it gets good reviews on houzz and isn't as fragile as marble

I agree, nothing comes close to genuine marble for me and the etching staining and patina only add to the beauty for me over time. Where are you based?

Maybebaby99 · 19/01/2018 20:27

Yes! I’m in London. Would love any tips, barbiev7!

I am so sorry, for some reason I only just saw this and it may be too late for you now but I looked at a company around Wembley called touchstone and really liked them. Profesional and no nonsense, you could also pick out the slab you wanted and they had high grade marbles. Let me know what you think of them if you do get in touch with them as I would love to know if they fall short with others you have seen, I haven’t started my refurbs yet so would love any advice too!

Blyth marble in the east mids. Amazing warehouse with so many slabs to inspect!
